为什么是Merry Christmas？
Merry 的意思是欢乐的，愉快的。即Happy and cheerful 。
Happy 也可以表达圣诞快乐，不过没有Merry 表达的意思全面，而且Merry Christmas 的说法已经是约定习俗，但是在英国，可能会说Happy Christmas 。

圣诞歌是比较欢快的，还会带赞美和祝颂的，就像我们过春节唱的《新年好》， carol就是颂歌的意思，所以圣诞歌的英语表达是Christmas carol 。
