1.EligoBioscience公司与葛兰素史克公司（GlaxoSmithKline）合作开发了一款候选产品EB005 。该候选产品通过抑制皮肤微生物组中的痤疮丙酸杆菌的生长来缓解痤疮。
2.专注于开发皮肤微生态护理产品公司Dermala正在研发一款后生元产品，通过在毛囊处有效拮抗痤疮丙酸杆菌定植，改善皮肤炎症状况。
3.考虑到并非所有痤疮丙酸杆菌都会导致痤疮，因此， NakedBiome公司利用宏基因组测序确定了一株有助于皮肤健康的痤疮丙酸杆菌菌株，并基于此开发了其候选产品MBO1 。初步研究表明，该候选产品具有降低炎症的潜力。
