最近，Usher和Alicia Keys合唱的\”My Boo\”在Billboard单曲榜上走势凌厉，看样子很快就要拿下冠军宝座myboo 。这首歌的流行，再次让boo这个黑人圈的俚语单词牢牢占据了主流文化的一席之地。
Boo本来是一个在看不起、讨厌、否定时用的感叹词（see boo[1,interjection]），类似中文里的\”哼\” 。
比如：
You have time to complain, but you don\’t have time to fix this little problem? Boo! （你有时间抱怨，却没时间去解决这个小小的问题？哼！）
Boo还可以做及物动词，表示起哄、轰某人下台（see boo[3,verb] transitive senses : ）。
比如：
Michael Moore was booed off the stage for getting too political in his Oscar a cceptance speech 。（由于Michael Moore的奥斯卡得奖感言过于政治性，他被观众嘘下了台。
）
当然boo还有另外一些用法，但以上两种是最常用的，直到2002年夏天。关注欧美音乐的朋友一定记得，当时Nelly和Kelly Rowland合唱的一首\”Dilemma\”红透了半边天。最夸张的一次，我连转了五个电台，都在播这首歌。关掉收音机打开电视，结果又是这首歌的 music video，恐怖。
\”Dilemma\”里有两句是这样唱的：
No matter what I do, all I think about is you
Even when I\’m with my boo, boy you know I\’m crazy over you
这里的boo就是我开头提到的黑人圈的俚语用法，它是一种亲密的称呼，类似于baby，也就是中文里的\”亲爱的\” 。
无论是男朋友、女朋友、老公、老婆，总之你的另一半就是你的boo 。
\”Dilemma\”一直到今天还可以在电台上听到，现在又来了一首\”My Boo\”，不得了。估计boo迟早会像honey，dear，darling，baby一样无人不晓。没准这种用法还会被收入字典。
